I began working as a freelance graphic designer during my studies.
After completing my degree in
Print and Media Technology (B. Eng.),
I continued working independently.
When the war in Sudan broke out in April 2023 — a conflict that also affected my family — I increasingly focused on raising awareness about Sudan. Measured by its scale, the Sudan war is one of the most underreported conflicts today.
This led to the creation of my Instagram account @may_sudan, which is rooted in activism and pushed me to engage with journalism through in‑depth research and the analysis of complex topics.
Combining this research with my background in visual communication allowed me to present complex information clearly and accessibly.
From this work, my current goal emerged:
to prepare well‑researched, factual information in a clear and structured way — and to support NGOs, media outlets, and newsrooms in making an underrepresented yet highly relevant topic like Sudan visible and accurately contextualized.
